The Art of Friendship

The Greeks said there are three kinds of friendship: of utility, of pleasure, and of virtue — the rare kind, where two people are committed to what’s truly good in each other. Most of us have plenty of the first two and a quiet ache for the third.

This retreat is about that third kind — and about the discovery every tradition eventually makes: it starts at home. The quality of your friendships can’t exceed the quality of the one you have with yourself.

Two days. Eight people, at most. Day one, you’ll meet your own inner household — the parts of you that protect, criticize, and hurt — and practice being with them as a friend rather than a manager. Day two, we turn outward: what actually deepens a friendship, why closeness so often costs us ourselves, and what it’s like to be truly met.

Nothing to perform, nothing to fix. Come as you are — that’s the whole method.

The shape of it

  • When: August 22–23, 2026, 9:30–17:30 both days. Non-residential.
  • Where: A 100-year-old Goan villa in North Goa.
  • Who: 6–8 people, open to all. No experience with inner work assumed.
  • What it costs: ₹1,500, lunch and chai included. One or two supported spots exist — just ask in the call.
  • How the days open: Both mornings begin with a gentle, guided qi-gong warm-up — about 25 minutes, standing, breath-led. No experience needed.
  • Before: A free ebook as pre-read, and a one-line intention you bring with you.
  • After: Buddy pairs, and one online integration call about ten days later — included.

Everything in the room is an invitation — every exercise has a pass option, no explanation needed.

It starts with a 15-minute conversation, so we can both feel whether it’s a fit.
